We provide ideal opportunities for both experienced and beginner anglers alike for catching catfish, pike, carp, pike-perch, asp, tench and bream. Catfish of 10-20 kg can be regularly caught (primarily in May and June), wild carp of 5-10 kg, pike over 3 kg, pike-perch, asp and bream over 2 kg. We offer our own boats, maintained fishing places, local guides, bait and lure, and also GPS for finding the fishing spots. More than 20 excellent fishing sites can be approached within 5-30 minutes by boat, bicycle or on foot from the guest house. We supply you with the map, fishing guidebook and the GPS coordinates in our catalogue.

May is the best month for catching catfish. Mainly by spinning, from a boat, additionally "clonking" and ledgering every year quite a few 10-20 kg catfish are caught, and at times even larger ones are caught on the hook. Our local guide will show you the best places and methods for catching catfish in May.

In June and July mainly the pike-perch, carp, catfish and bream are the main quarry, in June still with  a good chance for catfish (although not as good as in May), in July the emphasis is on carp. You can get to know our secretly fed carp spots from our guide, where the Tisza wild carp can regularly be caught at 5-10 kg in weight. In August in addition to the carp it is worth also trying pike.

September and October is best for carp, pike, asp and pike-perch, and weather is also optimal at this time of year. Pike can be caught in the Living River Tisza in large numbers, also in the backwaters and channels of Lake Tisza, and on the lakes and backwaters around the Living River Tisza (at Tiszadorogma 10-12 such "pike" side water can be found). Pike of around 10 kg are also occasionally caught in the neighbourhood, pieces of 2-5 kg are regular. Besides pike, large common bream on the living Tisza, on the side waters crucian carp, on the smaller channels and areas with water plants really nice tench can be caught (these latter ones are abundant in the Szivárgó Brook next to the guest house).

November is an excellent month for pike and asp, these fish can be caught throughout the winter. In case of thick ice there are excellent opportunities for ice hole fishing for pike.

For our fishing guests the motor boat hire is 20 EUR/day (plus fuel), fishing guide (4-6 hours) and bait are available. Fishing permit for the Geleji area (Living Tisza and its side waters) and for the Tisza Lake can be bought at the official current price (usually 4-6 EUR/day); we will purchase these for our guests.
